Supporting your congregation with your financial gifts has never been easier. Contributions to Zion can be made
“On-Line.”
Both our members and church benefit from this program. For those who choose to participate, this
becomes, truly, ‘first-fruits’ giving. You don’t have to remember to give, nor are you making a
decision every time you write a check as to how much to give. You make a one-time prayerful, Spirit-guided decision, and
the decision lasts until you change it. Automatic contributions can be stopped at anytime by calling the church
office. Another great benefit is to our church. Our church receives a consistent, predictable income, unaffected by
seasonal fluctuations (e.g., the ‘summer slump’ in offerings) nor by the Sundays away when you are on
vacation. The cost to the church is almost nonexistent. Almost all of the cost is covered by Thrivent Financial
Services for Lutherans as a fraternal benefit.
One time offerings can be made, or offerings can be set up on a regular basis to be either weekly or monthly
until you say stop. Offerings can be made through your checking account, saving account, or credit card. Offerings
may be designated to our General Fund; to our “Renew the House” capital campaign; to our “Youth to San
Antonio” fund, (our youth will be participating in our Synod’s National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, July 2013);
and/or to our “School Scholarship Fund,” (which assists families with children attending our school who may have a
special financial need). Any offerings made on-line by members will be automatically credited to their envelop
number.
To make an on-line gift, click on the “Simply Giving” button below. At that point, you
will leave Zion’s website and be linked to the SECURE “Simply Giving” website hosted by Vanco Services in
Minnesota. Although the web page you will be looking at will look like one of Zion’s web pages, you will NOT be on
Zion’s website. None of the information you disclose will be stored on Zion’s computers nor on Zion’s
website. The information you will be asked to submit is the same sort of information you submit when making an on-line
purchase. You will not need to supply your email address and none of the information you disclose will be shared with
anyone else. At the end of your transaction you will have the option to return to Zion’s website.
If you don’t like computers but do like the idea of making an offering by credit card or automatically from your checking or savings account, we have paper forms to be filled out which will accomplish the same thing. These are available from the church office by contacting our church secretary, Judy, by phone 510-530-4213, or by e-mail churchoffice@zionlutheran.net
